WHY CHOOSE INFERNO?

WHY CHOOSE INFERNO?

I have seen cheaper sounders on the market - what's the difference?

It's a great question, and one that you will truly appreciate the answer to when you hear an Inferno in person! The sound volume that the Inferno produces plays a very small part in what makes it so effective at stopping intruders. The intolerability of the Inferno is due to the dynamic and patented frequencies produced, and it is the only system on the market that is able to produce the intended effect on its unlucky victims.

Can I install the sound barrier myself?

Yes, we have put great effort in to making the Inferno as easy to install as possible. You can see our easy installation guide here. We do understand that not all people have the time, or are still worried about the installation process - so we highly recommend that they talk to a professional security system installer. It should take a professional no more than 30 minutes to install the Inferno, of course depending upon the installation complexity. You can find a professional installer on the official NSI page for your local area.

Could a criminal defeat the Inferno with ear protection?

The answer is: it's complicated. Whilst ear protection reduces the effectiveness of the sound barrier - it removes one of the vital senses needed in highly stressful situations. An intruder is extremely unlikely to want to remove their ability to communicate, as it leaves them feeling vulnerable, isolated and greatly increases their risk of capture. Extensive market usage of the Inferno shows that most criminals are opportunistic, and will not carry ear protection with them - putting their fingers in their ears is not compatible with carrying stolen items!

Is a sound barrier legal?

Yes - all Inferno sound barriers are by default set to sound at 125db. Our research on the legality of operating an audible alarm siren at 125dB has confirmed that it does not breach any known legislation simply by virtue of its sound level. O.S.H. requires, pursuant to Regulation 11 of the Health & Safety in Employment Regulations (1995), that workplace noise does not exceed a peak level of 140dB. Accordingly, there is no apparent cause for concern over the legality of the Inferno itself.

Does Stop Intruders offer the full range of Inferno products?

Yes, we offer the full range of Inferno products. That includes the Remote, Wireless and the Strobocop. We do however have a slightly longer lead time on these items - please contact us should you wish to enquire about these products.

Do Inferno's have a typical lifespan?

We obviously can't account for damage caused by misuse or environment, but it is extremely rare for an Inferno to fail given that it is well looked after. The battery is the only item that we suggest is replaced after three years, given a batteries tendency to degrade over time - replacing the battery is an inexpensive and easy process, too!
